My day job may surprise you.
I went to the University of Central Florida to study athletic training. The people that run out onto the court or field when an athlete gets hurt? That's me.
Sports medicine by trade. And I'm good at it.
I did photography from a young age. Saving up allowances and money from babysitting gigs to purchase my first DSLR. I've always loved it. The complexity of the camera and composition. The idea that I can share my literal perspective with the world while still telling someone else's story. It's pure magic. But, it's always been part time magic.
This year I decided to take the leap and change careers. I will now be a full time photographer and I am so excited. Plus, I still get to be an athletic trainer part time, but it's when and how I want. I can do events that excite me and cover sports that amaze me. And then I can go photograph somebody's best day of their life.
I'm a firm believer that life can be exactly what you want it to be. It's never too late to make it something new. It's never too late to change everything. It's never too late to get everything you ever wanted.
Moral of the story is: there is no box. There is no mold. You don't HAVE to be anything or do anything. Just do what sets your soul on fire. Because what is life without change?
